Starting in 2014 the Affordable Care Act requires everyone to have health insurance or pay a penalty – we strongly recommend that you purchase health insurance to cover services not covered at PeakMed Direct Primary Care.
Your PeakMed membership does not qualify as Affordable Care Act insurance. However, your membership at PeakMed decreases overall healthcare costs by eliminating co-pays, deductibles, and urgent care visits. Also, because we are membership-driven, we can offer wholesale pricing on lab work and prescriptions, saving our members even more money.
We can assist you in finding answers to questions about finding the right health insurance to supplement your PeakMed membership.
