Point of care testing is done inside the doctor’s office. Basic controlled testing such as urine dip testing, pregnancy testing, and strep are performed at no charge.
There is no charge for blood draws. Specimen samples are sent out to our testing lab partners for analysis and there is a charge for lab results.
PeakMed has relationships with testing labs which entitle our PeakMed Members to substantial savings at or near wholesale pricing on those services. For instance, an annual screening to measure thyroid, sugar (glucose), electrolyte and fluid balance, kidney function, cholesterol, and liver function can cost approximately $300 at a retail testing lab, compared to just $33 at a PeakMed partner lab.
