Drew Kallestad Named EVP of Broker and Employer Engagement

PeakMed has named Drew Kallestad to the newly created position of executive vice president of broker and employer engagement.

Drew Kallestad's Experience

Kallestad will use his 30 years of experience in employee benefits and his contacts in the industry to work with insurance brokers to position PeakMed as a health care solution for employers. He most recently worked as executive vice president and senior strategic advisor for CoBiz Insurance and has also held leadership positions with Financial Designs Inc. and Prudential Healthcare. Kallestad also owned his own employee benefits firm, Two Pines Benefits Solutions, giving him the first-hand experience of understanding benefits for the small-business owner.

PeakMed offers a new and unique approach to health care, offering members conventional care — such check-ups, physicals and diagnosis — preventative care, urgent care and much more all for a flat, affordable monthly fee. Members can schedule same- or next-day appointments, ask general questions by email and reach their doctor for emergency medical advice by telephone or text 24 hours a day, seven days a week. There is no limit to the number of times our members can visit their doctor, and pre-existing conditions are never a problem.

Connecting PeakMed and Brokers

“Drew will play a key role in educating health insurance brokers on cultivation of employer relationships around new PeakMed Life Centers,” said Jon Hernandez, PeakMed CEO. “Drew’s experience with employers throughout Colorado will introduce the value of PeakMed’s services to those who have been dealing with disappointing health care costs and outcomes.”
