Dr. Alison Fry is a board-certified family physician who joined PeakMed Direct Primary Care in January 2016.
After graduating from Beloit College in Wisconsin, Alison Fry had the opportunity to travel to Central America where she worked inside a Salvadoran refugee camp on the border of Honduras. This experience expanded her understanding that health services were at the foundation of political, social, and economic development. It was this experience that motivated her to pursue a career in medicine.
Dr. Fry earned her medical degree from Rush Medical College in Chicago, IL in 1994 and completed her family medicine residency at Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center in Phoenix, Arizona where she received the “Family Practice Resident of the Year” in 1997.
After completing her residency, Dr. Fry worked with the National Health Service Corps in community health centers in New Mexico and Arizona. She has since worked in a variety of practice settings, including private practice, urgent care, employer-based health centers and hospital-based practice. Dr. Fry is fluent in Spanish.
Dr. Fry believes in spending time with her patients and building the relationships necessary to establish care. Having practiced Family Medicine in a variety of settings, she believes that the Direct Primary Care (DPC) model best allows her to care for her patients. She is proud to be a part of the PeakMed Direct Primary Care team.
Dr. Fry is married and has 2 young boys and a grown step-daughter. Her husband Steven is a karate instructor in the Broadmoor, Colorado Springs area. She enjoys spending time with her family and walking with her 4 dogs. She loves living in Colorado Springs, and she looks forward to caring for local families for years to come.
